PRESS RELEASE
Paste Up Warsaw – Independent Poster Festival 2026
Paste Up Warsaw – Independent Poster Festival returns to Warsaw for the fourth time. One of the largest poster events in public space in Europe will begin on May 30, 2026, once again transforming the Vistula Boulevards into an open-access gallery of graphic art.
The exhibition will be presented in two locations:
-
on the 200-meter retaining wall next to the WWA Water Tram Terminal on the Vistula Boulevards,
-
at the entrance to Poniatówka Beach from the National Stadium side.
The exhibition will be free and accessible year-round as part of the city’s public space.
OPEN CALL
Submissions for the 2026 edition are open from January 1 to April 30, 2026.
Both professional designers and emerging artists are invited to participate, with no thematic or stylistic restrictions. Artists from Poland and abroad can submit their works via the form available at:
“The most important thing is the author’s visual voice and the desire to present work in the urban space. Here, the poster returns to its natural environment, the street, where it meets a random passer-by rather than only a gallery visitor,”
says Szymon Szpanowski, initiator and co-organizer of the festival.
A FESTIVAL IN THE CITY SPACE
After the selection process, hundreds of posters form one of the largest outdoor poster galleries in Europe. The exhibition is not a one-time event, it operates year-round and is regularly updated, evolving with the rhythm of the city and its visitors.
The event is organized by the Foundation for External Art, which has been working for years to promote the presence of art in public space.
AN INTERNATIONAL PROJECT
Selected works from previous editions have also been presented outside Warsaw as part of satellite exhibitions, including: London (FOLD club), Mostar (Street Arts Festival Mostar), and Tarnów (BWA Tarnów).
The festival continues to expand its network of urban poster galleries and promotes artists on the international stage.
