Paste Up Warsaw – Independent Poster Festival is an international festival presented in the public space of Warsaw. Its core idea is to give the city back to graphic expression, free from gallery walls, ticket barriers, and institutional filters. Here, the poster returns to its natural habitat: the street, where it meets a random passer-by rather than only a viewer who intentionally came “to see an exhibition.”

The festival was born from the need to create a space for artists working outside the traditional art circuit, both established professionals and those just beginning their creative journey. What matters most is an original visual statement, not status or experience, which is why the open call is international and accessible to everyone.

Each year, we launch an open call inviting artists from around the world to submit their posters. After the selection process, the chosen works are installed on a 200-meter wall along the Vistula River, forming one of the largest outdoor poster galleries in Europe. The gallery lives year-round, continuously updated and expanded, so every visit offers a different experience. Selected works also travel further as part of satellite editions appearing in other cities.

The culmination of each edition is the opening event by the Vistula River, after which the gallery remains accessible every day, throughout the year, becoming a permanent element of the city’s landscape.
