Paste Up Warsaw — Independent Poster Festival 2026
Paste Up Warsaw — Independent Poster Festival returns to Warsaw for its fourth edition. One of Europe’s largest poster events in public space will begin on 30 May 2026, once again turning the Vistula boulevards into an open-access graphic art gallery.
The exhibition will be presented on the 200-metre retaining wall by Dworzec Wodny WWA on the Vistula Boulevards. It will be accessible free of charge throughout the year as part of the city’s public space.
OPEN CALL
Submissions for the 2026 edition run from 1 January to 30 April 2026. Professional designers and beginners alike can participate, with no thematic or stylistic restrictions. Artists from Poland and abroad submit their works through the form available at www.pasteupwarsaw.com.
“What matters most is an original statement and the desire to show your work in the city. Posters return to their natural environment — the street, where they meet passers-by rather than only gallery visitors,” says Szymon Szpanowski, the Festival’s initiator and co-organiser.
A FESTIVAL IN THE CITY
After selection, hundreds of posters form one of Europe’s largest outdoor poster galleries. The exhibition is not a one-off event: it operates throughout the year and is regularly updated, changing with the rhythm of the city and its visitors.
The event is organised by Fundacja Sztuki Zewnętrznej, which has worked for years to support the presence of art in public spaces.
AN INTERNATIONAL PROJECT
Selected works from previous editions have also been shown outside Warsaw through satellite exhibitions, including London (FOLD club), Mostar (Street Arts Festival Mostar), Tarnów (BWA Tarnów), and Kraków (Jordan Park, supported by MEDICINE). The next planned satellite event will take place in collaboration with the Wisłoujście Festival, with an exhibition projected in Gdańsk’s 100cznia.
The Festival is developing a network of urban poster galleries and promoting artists internationally.
